About Dr GreenTooth
Dr Green Tooth Begins
Hi, I’m the voice behind Dr Green Tooth.
I’m a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) with a focus on preventive oral health education.
My journey began in dental clinics, where I witnessed firsthand the common dental issues that patients face, many of which are predictable and preventable with the right information and habits.
Many of my colleagues in dentistry that I’m in contact with share the same frustrations about the lack of time and motivation to properly educate patients on prevention during appointments.
This inspired me to create Dr. Green Tooth, a platform dedicated to providing clear, practical, and evidence-based oral health information that fits into real life.
I choose to stay anonymous because I want the focus to be on the information and advice I provide, rather than on me as an individual.
The information I share is based on my professional experience as a dentist and my ongoing research in the field of oral health, ensuring that it is reliable and trustworthy for my audience.
Some information is not going to be aligned to the mainstream dental opinions, dental office economics, or the dental industry in general, and it’s aimed only towards prevention in dentistry which is the highest benefit of you as a patient, and that often is not accented enough in the dental world.
Also, I want to try to bridge the gap between dentists and patients, saying things that often remain unsaid in dental offices, and that patients often don’t get to hear, but that can make a big difference in their oral health.
I’ve seen the same problems over and over again and the truth that most dentists won’t/can’t/don’t have time to tell you:
Most dental problems don't come out of nowhere.
They're predictable, preventable, and often ignored until they hurt.
As a dentist, I spent a big part of my day fixing things that should never have broken in the first place. Cavities. Gum disease. Root canal infections. Not bad luck — just small habits repeated for years without the right information nor motivation.
The frustrating part?
These problems usually require very little effort to prevent, but in real life dental practice, there’s rarely enough time to explain that properly, nor motivation from both patients or dentists.
People come in stressed, in pain, or already late.
Prevention — the most important part — gets pushed aside.
At the same time, I noticed something else.
When people don’t get answers at the dentist, they look online.
And what they often find is:
- confusing
- exaggerated
- outdated
- or just wrong
That’s how the idea for Dr. Green Tooth started.
If people are already searching online, why not give them a place where:
- information is accurate
- explanations are simple
- advice is actually usable in real life
- and no one is talked down to
No fear tactics. No miracle cures. No “just trust me” nonsense.
That’s how Dr. Green Tooth was born:
A place where I combine my background as a dentist,
information that I receive from other dentist colleagues that I'm in contact with,
to explain oral health the way it should have been explained from the start.
Clear. Practical. Honest.
Sometimes direct. Occasionally sarcastic.
Always evidence-based.
My goal is to give you information that:
- fits into real life
- 12 year olds can understand
- and helps you prevent problems before they turn into appointments, bills, and stress
I also care a lot about providing motivation for you to change the habits.
Because knowing what to do is one thing — actually doing it is another.
And in most cases, small changes made early save you from much bigger problems later.
So no, this site won’t promise perfect teeth forever.
But it will help you make better decisions — earlier.
Thanks for being here. And yes — prevention really is less painful than treatment. 🍀
